QUITE THE YEAR

tickets-lr

It’s been quite a year. I just finished my last archery trip of the year and taking a well deserved (and needed) time-out. I don’t remember having a three week stretch of no archery events to go tot his year and I will either love it or get bored stiff.

Olympic years usually are quite busy but this was an exceptional one, at least for me. Sometimes not even knowing where I am or what day it was. I am lucky to travel with a great team that keeps each other sane whenever needed.

Below my itinerary which I will try to put it in the correct order but forgive me if it’s not:
Louisville (USA) – Nimes (France) – Las Vegas (USA) – Ankara (Turkey) – Guadalajara (Mexico) – Shanghai (China) –  Medellin (Colombia) – Notthingham (England) – Antalya (Turkey) – Yankton (USA) – Bucharest (Romania) – Mokrice (Slovenia) – Rio de Janeiro (Brasil) – Jarvakandi (Estonia) – Rio de Janeiro (Brasil) – Odense (Denmark) – Dublin (Ireland) – Tallin (Estonia) – Salt Lake City (USA) – Gotenburg (Sweden) – Ankara (Turkey) – Marrakesh (Morocco) – Lausanne (Switzerland) – Bangkok (Thailand). Maybe missed one or two.

Archery has definitely grown over the year and I am happy to be part of it. Progress is always good (well it is most of the time) and I think we are on the right track.

All in all it has been a good year and I am already looking forward to the next. Don’t get me wrong, I will enjoy my time of and try to catch up with things and people I have missed.

By the way, I am open to suggestions on how to fill in all the time I have on my hands.

I wish all of you happy holidays and if you have any time off, make sure to enjoy it and get recharged for another busy one!

Thanks to everyone that made it one to remember. See you on the field of play….. Somehwere.
